I’m Kathy, the founder. I started GroceryShare because I believe people shouldn’t have to compromise on food. This app helps neighbors connect to split bulk items, get the savings, and stretch the food budget.
I created all of this with the help of Claude AI — we had some long nights and, hard to believe, a few “arguments” lol. It took well over 200 hours, and I paid for the business license and everything else out of pocket because I believe in this service and keeping it free matters to me. I did the work rather than pay someone thousands.
But it takes resources — hosting, software, advertising, and ongoing website and app management. Now that we’re launched, voluntary contributions, affiliate products, and sponsors will, as they say, keep the lights on.
