I’m Kathy, the founder. I started GroceryShare because I believe people shouldn’t have to compromise on food because prices keep rising. As I did the research, I became heartbroken learning how many people struggle to fill the fridge and how many feel lonely.
This app helps singles, seniors, and small families split bulk items, stretch their food budget, and make new connections.
I created this with the help of Claude AI. We had some long nights and a few “arguments” lol. It took well over 200 hours, and it all came out of pocket because I believe in this service, and keeping it free matters to me. I live on my Social Security, so I know how a tight budget affects daily living.
Now GroceryShare is an LLC.

It takes resources to run: hosting, software, advertising, and ongoing management. Voluntary contributions, affiliate products, and sponsors keep the lights on, and my goal is to create a couple of part-time jobs.
